Medallions are back, with more abilities than ever in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 .The second Season of Fortnite Chapter 5 is less than three weeks away. Here’s everything we know so far, based on various leaks, rumours and official sources.Fortnite Section 5 Season 2 is at last here, and Emblems from Part 5 Season 1 have returned. The new Greek Folklore subject has totally modified the Fortnite guide, and this brings four fresh out of the plastic new Emblems, with every single new capacity. Here’s beginning and end you really want to be aware of Emblems in Fortnite Part 5 Season 2, including where to track down them, and their capacities.
How to Earn Medallions
Just like in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1, players can earn Medallions by defeating an NPC boss. In Chapter 5 Season 2, there are four bosses, Zeus, Ares, Cerberus and Hades. These can all be found in a different part of the Fortnite map.
All Medallion Locations
Below is a map of where the Medallions can be found in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, players will need to defeat the boss who will spawn here each and every game.
- Zeus – Mount Olympus
- Ares – Brawler’s Battleground
- Cerberus – Grim Gate
- Hades – The Underworld
All Medallion Abilities in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2
Each Medallion in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 will give the player a different ability:
- Zeus – Provides a speed boost
- Ares – Increases damage dealt
- Cerberus – Grants a dash movement
- Hades – Siphon (heals you when eliminating a player)
However, while holding a Medallion, you will be visible on the minimap to all of the other players in the game. This means that it can be risky to hold a Medallion, even though it gives you a very useful ability. This increases the more Medallions you hold, meaning if you have all four, there is almost no chance of hiding from enemy players.
You can also earn Medallions the easy way, by eliminating a player who already has one. If a player with a Medallion is eliminated, they will drop it for the next player to pick up. However, some players in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 prefer to roll without one, so you might be lucky enough to find one laying on the floor.
Season 2 Launch Date
At the time of writing, Season 1’s end date remains March 8th, 2024, at 2AM ET, with Season 2 expected to launch just a few hours later. It’s currently unknown if a live finale event will take place to conclude Season 1, but this seems unlikely.
Season 2 Theme
The theme of Season 2 is yet to be officially revealed by Epic, but players speculate it could be based on Greek Mythology. This idea has come from ongoing Chapter 5 storyline, which involves Battle Pass character Valeria searching for Pandora’s Box.
Season 2 Battle Pass
Following the rumoured Greek Mythology theme for Season 2, players have spotted a collection of concept designs in Epic’s recent skin surveys that could be used for a new Battle Pass. The surveys only feature original designs, so no collaborations here, but it gives us a good idea of what to expect.
Midas Takes Over
One of Fortnite’s most popular characters – Midas – is set to play a significant role in Season 2’s storyline in some way. In December 2023, Epic renamed the Floor is Lava LTM to ‘Midas Presents: Floor is Lava’ in the API, before quickly reverting the change. The Chapter 5 Island also contains a number of hints pointing towards his return, including the logo of the Society, which shows a golden eye.
It’s likely we’ll see a remixed version of the original Midas Outfit appear during Season 2, either in the Battle Pass or through the Item Shop.
